REPJA CLOTHING LAUNCHES NEW RIDDIM COMPILATION!
Caribbean streetwear brand RepJA (Represent Jamaica) Clothing Launches their First Riddim in time to celebrate Jamaica’s 50th Independence Celebration.
RepJA Riddim represents Jamaica’s diverse culture and features one of Jamaica’s top Reggae artist Gyptian, Toronto's own Kardinal Offishall, R&B group Untitled (who is signed to Hip-hop superstar Ludacris DTP Label), Laza Morgan, Spanish duo Los Rakas, India Shawn, Atlanta’s hottest local reggae artist Dre', Latonya Style, Blacka Di Dansa, Basiq & Kid Daytona.
RepJA Riddim embodies the motto "Out of Many, One Riddim". The riddim is blended with diversity featuring a talented mix of Dancehall, R&B, Spanish and Hip Hop artists.
RepJA (Represent Jamaica) is a groundbreaking clothing line that is inspired by the colorful yet gritty streets of Jamaica.
On July 19th, 2012 The Exclusive Listening Party for the RepJA Riddim was held in Atlanta, GA where various media houses and reggae lovers gathered at club Metro Fuxon to be the first to hear the RepJA Riddim. Many left giving a plethora of favorable reviews.V103’s celebrity DJ (DJ Kash) hosted this celebration. Attendees received gift bags with RepJA logos T-Shirts, rags, stickers and buttons from the RepJA clothing line.

Atlanta Celebrates Jamaica's 50th Anniversary

The Atlanta Jamaican Association, Inc., (AJA)
in collaboration with the Atlanta Jamaican Cultural and Educational Fund, Inc.,
will host the Annual Jamaican Independence Ball and
Scholarship Awards on Saturday, August 18, 2012.
The Jamaican Independence
Ball and Scholarship Awards is one of the pinnacle Caribbean events each summer
in Metro Atlanta .
In this historic year - the celebration of Jamaica ’s
50th year of Independence ,
this will certainly be the “must-attend” event of the year.
This Golden Jubilee black-tie gala will be
held at the luxurious Georgia International Convention
Center (GICC), 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park , Georgia 30337 with cocktails
beginning at 6pm. The GICC is located
minutes from the Hartsfield-Jackson
International
Airport .

Doctor Stephen Vasciannie - Jamaica’s Ambassador-Designate to the
United States, will be the keynote speaker.
With his busy schedule relocating to the United States , Dr. Vasciannie
graciously accepted AJA’s invitation to celebrate this very special occasion
with the Jamaican community in Atlanta . Dr. Vasciannie is a former Rhodes Scholar and
professor at the University of the West
Indies .
Live entertainment will be provided by the legendary Byron Lee’s
Dragonaires. The band is best known for its popularization of the Jamaican Ska
music internationally and its many Rocksteady, Reggae, Calypso and Soca hit
songs.

The Atlanta Jamaican Association, Inc. (AJA) founded in 1977, is a
non-profit organization with 501© (4) status under the Internal Revenue Service
Code. The AJA provides support and aid
to members of the Jamaican community in Metro Atlanta and Jamaica . Through its Family Relations Committee, the
AJA assists families in times of severe financial and emotional hardship. It undertakes special missions to Jamaica
annually to feed the poor and provide help to the most needy. The AJA also strives to promote unity,
friendship, and understanding between Jamaicans and other members of the
greater Atlanta
community. The AJA’s Educational Fund
provides scholarships to deserving students of Jamaican parentage.
